SUMMARY:Patient Home Visit to Bujumbura
DESCRIPTION:On August 27\, 2022\, FAAYO Founding Member Christine visited the home of 10-year-old Edith who had corrective heart surgery for a congenital heart condition at one and a half years old. Edith’s surgery was arranged with Gift of Life International. She is now a vibrant elementary school student in Bujumbura Hoima District. She is shown here at home in the photo with her father and Christine.

SUMMARY:Community Outreach at Green Valley School
DESCRIPTION:FAAYO held a health education event at Green Valley Primary School on August 22\, 2022. The sessions were facilitated by Founding Member Christine and Volunteers William and Nurse Julian. The purpose of the event was to create community awareness about RHD and CHD among Grade 7 students in a rural community. Over 70 learners attended! Green Valley School is a privately owned primary day and boarding school based in Hoima District.   \n \n
