Left untreated, it can damage the heart, and many families only find out when it is already serious. That\u2019s why Faayo Community Heart Health Initiative chose to meet the community where it gathers: on the football pitch.<\/p>\n<p>On 6th September 2026, at <strong>The Soccer Palace Nsambya &#8211; Kirombe<\/strong>, we held our Charity Football Match under the banner \u201cTogether Against RHD.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><figcaption><div style=\"width: 900px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-0-1\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" autoplay preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/faayocommunity.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/faayo-rhd-campaign.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/faayocommunity.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/faayo-rhd-campaign.mp4\">https:\/\/faayocommunity.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/faayo-rhd-campaign.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div><\/p>\n<p><strong>Three goals for the day<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Raising awareness:<\/strong> Faayo members talked to families about the signs of RHD and the importance of early treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3678\" src=\"https:\/\/faayocommunity.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/IMG_8344.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5319\" height=\"3247\" \/><figcaption>Fig.2 &#8211;<em><em> Our Founder Christine, Speaking to the members of the community about RHD<\/em><\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 2.
